Montessori & 3 Personas

These are the three potential clients that would be ideal for people who want to be involved with their children and like being apart of the private school market. This School is called Montessori and caters to all different types of people and children. The Grade level ranges from Pre-K to 6th Grade, Age 2 1/2- 12 years old. Below are some examples of three people who also use media in their daily lives.

Joe is 26; He has a college degree and is a banker. He is married and has a 5 year old son. His Wife also has a degree and is a nurse. They are in the higher socioeconomic bracket and believe in higher education. The young aspiring couple is of the “yuppie” class and is constantly trying to further themselves along in their careers. They own their own home and carry no credit card debt. Both grew up as generation X’ers, and think media is an important role in their life.

Collein is 62, She is a retired with a seven-year-old grandson.  She wants her grandson to fit in with all the kids at the regular elementary school, but there is a lot of bullying and he gets made fun of because he is not on par with the other children academically.  Her grandson does not fit in with structured schools with standardized grading. He needs a more individual, unique curriculum tailored to his needs. Collein has four children; one with her in Utah and the other 3 are spread out. She uses Facebook and Video Skype to keep in touch with them.

Katrina is 21, She is a single mother, but has a father that helps her financially. Her daughter is age three and Katrina wants her daughter to get a head start on education so that she can be smart In the future because she wasn’t given that well of schooling. Katrina likes to be close to her daughter and she is looking for a school where she can be involved with her child.  The only other option was homeschool for her, but it was hard because she works three part time jobs. She also plays in a local band and has been using Myspace but has recently changed to Facebook to reach a broader market.
